The shoes are perfect this is my second time buying it for my son.So my son is probably about a size 1 now (if I want to have a little growing room), but 13.5 would still fit him. I ordered a few sizes in this shoe and the size 2 fits! But mostly because they are so narrow, especially around the toes, that I can't imagine his real size fitting without squeezing his feet. This shoe has an odd fit but may work well for kids with narrow/long feet. I would recommend to order a half size or 1 size up. The seem well made, and look great on, but I will edit my review if they don't seem to hold up.For me they are about a size and a half too small. First pair size 2 could get on but very uncomfortable. Ordered size 3 immediately. The 3's are a bit tight but am keeping them, 2's will be going back. I love the red, white and blue with our current political climate which is why I bought them. These will be my spring go to sneakers.Bought these to wear with school uniform. Cannot see the dirt. Do not have to worry about tying. A few months later, sole is still intact.Appears to run small, so had to move up 1.5 sizes, but it was great finding a shoe this size that still has Velcro.This was a gift to my grandson. He loves them they look like Captain America shoes. He called them America.Bought these for my 8 year old son and he loves them. They reminded me of my childhood too so it was a win/win. They fit great. They have held up to his wearing everyday to school. They came as expected and would definitely buy again!They are cute, and the velcro is great because my 1st grader still struggles to tye his shoes.
