I over pronate which has led to chronic pain in a less-than-perfect-knee-replacement knee. These 813 v1 shoes have great support and are helping reduce pain.They are mildly clunky-looking but are great for walking and biking.I wish they came in 12.5 - I had to go up to 13 but they feel a bit sloppy. Insole liners and thick socks help.I cut off the excess length of the velcro straps. They looked dorky sticking out too far and they even snagged things a few times. Now they look much better and I have not noticed any problems. The straps seem to be marked for trimming but a company chat rep did not recommend it - might void warranty. I used heavy-duty scissors from Lowes.I am grateful for Amazon's "try before you buy" program. I sent one pair back because they were too narrow.It's ugly. But it feels pretty good like feet on marshmallow cushionsThese shoes fit well and are very comfortable. The overall quality is good, but the only down side is how the straps stick out—they look funny, and I wouldn’t wear them out in public very much. Otherwise I would have rated them 5 stars!Repeat model, New Balance Men's Hook and Loop, purchase over several years and is as I expected.No dislikes. This brand of shoe is recommended by my Doctor and it really works for my foot problems.Price. Quality. Ease of purchase. Received in a timely fashion. DidI have a prosthetic leg and these shoes work well for me because of their rollbar feature. That feature greatly reduces the sway and wobble of my feet and ankles as I walk making my stride a lot more sure and stable. Will buy them again in the futureWould recommend.
